"The Service of Light" was Saturday night at 8PM. We held the service at this time as we needed it to be somewhat dark. A fire was lit outdoors and the Christ candle was brought out to be lit from it. It was a VERY windy night and it was quite a job to get it lit without getting on fire myself![ or the server] The light of Christ was brought into the dark church. When the last "light of Christ" was proclaimed, the servers lit everyone's candles for the Exsultet. Thank you to Dave, Denise, Val, Barb, Arline and Frances for reading. We then renewed our Baptismal vows and celebrated the Eucharist. Thank you to Jessie and Kara for being my servers.
Alleluia! Christ is risen! Christ is risen indeed! Alleluia!
