The Pharasee or the Tax Collector?
Some thoughts for us: Today, what group of people would be the Pharasee? What group would be the Tax Collector? When have you been like the the Pharasee? The Tax Collector? IF the Tax Collector came to our group here, how would he be received? How would the Pharasee be received? The Pharasee's religion was empty, his prayers futile, filled with boasting and arrogance. The Tax Collector had come in humility, with utter dependence on God. God wants us to have the tax collector's heart.... sensitive to sins we may commit, and dependent on God's grace. This is where salvation begins.... with the humble receiving of God's gift of forgiveness in Christ. What does the Lord require of us? .... to seek justice and love kindness and walk humbly with our God.
Thank you: greeter/collection- Tom; readers- Grace, Arline and Dawn; organist- Liz;

We had a very quiet service as the power was off so there were no "extra" background sounds. Thank you to Liz for bringing her portable organ loaded with batteries :)
