Today's gospel was about Zacchaeus,[a tax collector again]who climbed a tree so he could see Jesus as He came by. JEsus told him to come down as He was going to go to Zacchaeus' house right then.I'm sure he realized that his life needed some changes! Changes that Zacchaeus makes demonstrates inward change by outward action. Jesus changes hearts and lives.Habakkuk climbed a watch tower and Zacchaeus climed a tree and gained a whole new perspective and saw things in a new way through the acceptance and friendship of God. Where do we need to change our perspective? Who do we feel is the Zacchaeus of today? How could Jesus' actions in our lives transform or challenge our perception of that person or group?"
The Son of Man came to seek out and save the lost" The torch has been handed to us to continue this. Have we been welcoming in Jesus' name? Think of the areas in your life where you need to change your perspective ; let Jesus into your heart and go and act in His name. May Jesus transform our hearts so we may go and accept and welcome ALL others. WE do not change our heart, God does as we do His work in our world.
Youth Group meets on Monday after school for conversations and nail painting AND Friday night for bowling at 7 PM.
